Bryan Schmidt has been providing physical therapy, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services since 1990. Bryan was trained in Canada and his fields of specialty include Orthopedics and post-operative rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, Certified Hand therapy, and Outpatient Neurology. Golden Triangle Physical Therapy offers these services its clients (see Our Services).
 Bryan is one of a few Physical Therapists (PT) in San Diego that has been awarded the designation of a
"Certified Hand Therapist" (CHT) by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Certified Hand Therapists train, study, and specialize in the assessment and treatment of neck, upper extremity, arm, and hand trauma. This includes the myriad of complex syndromes and injuries, some of which arise from overtraining and repetitive motion/strain, which occur in sports, fine arts, music, and work related activities.
Bryan completed two back-to-back bachelor degree programs at the University of
Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and graduated in 1990 with both a Bachelors
degree in Physical Education (majoring in Athletic Training and Conditioning
programs as well as Coaching) and a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy.

During the 1980’s Bryan spent
6 years playing halfback / receiver with the Edmonton Huskies Football
organization as well as with the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Following
this he played on a senior men’s league basketball team for 10 years and has an
extensive base and personal history of training and conditioning related to
competitive athletics.
Away from work Bryan enjoys snowboarding, surfing, hiking, cycling, golf, and
always looks for the opportunity to converse in Spanish.
